A relative of mine was diagnosed with Diabetes in December 2007, he was told to come back for more tests in the new year, the 2nd blood tests came back clear, he was sent to an eye specialist for some tests, clear again. Then they sent him to a specialist who examined his feet and found nothing wrong, more blood tests came back clear, he did some type of glucose test that was clear.

Is it possible that the initial diagnosis was wrong, this diagnosis was from a blood test and glucose test. He wants to follow up with it but the docs are fobbing him off telling him he is fine.

    X.

This forum is not for giving medical advice. If he wants a second opinion he should get one imo.

impossible to comment given the vague nature of the query. Mind you, if the query was incredibly specific, that would be a request for medical advice. You can see the bind I'm in :)

I will say tho that I've been diabetic for 13 years, and there's nothing wrong with my feet or eyes, so maybe your relative just misunderstood the results of those tests (which should be done every six months)

    sorry, thread locked.
