Did you just using Tesco petrol once or many times?

I've used it twice , once filling a full tank and another time just putting about a tenner in. both times the engine was . . . not right.

( I have to admit, anyone I've said this to thinks I'm paranoid, but it still seems strange to me that the car acted funny on both occasions )

There is only one oil refinery in the country , whitegate in cork, and it produces 95% + of the country's requirements. so the fuel is almost exactly the same. Some perfomance petrols have additives , such as shell V power, to improve performance and power.

Tesco Killarney's fuel is delivered by Statoil lorry (Topaz), Topaz also own the Shell forecourts.

I have had problems with diesel quality, see my thread "dirty diesel in Kerry", but that happens in a few counties where people are cutting corners trying to increase profits. Joe Public then foots the bill when his vehicle gets damaged!!
