    Hi,

Am changing jobs to one with a car/mileage allowance rather than a company car and am wondering about what to buy.
I'll be looking at spending between 15k and 20k, has to be diesel as I'll be covering approx 30k klm a year, preferably automatic as M50 is involved aswell.
    Any recommendations?
    Thanks.

I would say honda accord 2.2 CTD but this car could over your budget. VW Passat 1.9TDI should have some with automatic and well worth look into it. New opel astra sport hatch and golf tdi also good....smile.gif

I would agree with the suggestion to buy the honda diesel if you can afford it, the missus has a CRV 2.2 diesel and it does about 43mpg combined, 50mpg on the open road, and is quiet as a mouse:)

The Accord diesel doesn't come with an auto box.

OP are buying new or second hand?

If new then the Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDi with the DGS box would be my recommendation. You will get alot of car for €30k.

If your buying second hand then get a year old Octavia vRS diesel:
