Don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but it seems that the banner ads in forums have gone missing. On some pages the space is completely blank and on others there's a frame of some sort but nothing else. The ads are still there on the main page that shows the latest forum posts.

Unusual to have someone suggest no banner ads is a "problem". :pac:

Is this still a "probelm" for anyone?

    Thanks

I had a similar problem, but it was with my ISP, not with Boards.ie.

Boards.ie pages were hanging on the <somethingsyndication>.google.com (or something to that effect).

Using the mobile profile for Boards.ie worked fine, as it doesn't display Google ads.

Firing up www.google.ie didn't work, neither did google.com. A traceroute from my pc to google.com got as far as three hops, failing at a BT router/switch, suggesting the problem with in fact with BT (my isp).

    /nerd

Zaph - are you with BT also?

The only part of that I understood was the final question!

    Yep, I'm with BT.

Well there ya go. BT was the problem, not Boards.ie. :)

If you ever get that problem again, use adblock (well if you're using firefox) and block googlesyndication.google.com* or something like that (it will show up in the list). Make sure to remove it and not just set it to hide. This should speed it up for you until the problem is sorted.

So the ads are gone ... and you're complaining? :pac: Sorry, had to ask.

I am sure he is just bringing it to our attention and not complaining :)

It our most important revenue source so useful to know if there are issues.

No, it was more than that.

For me, the thread pages would not load. So not only was I being deprived of ads, but I was also being deprived of Boards.ie pages.

Can't be having that, now can we?
