Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Shelbourne V Athlone Town
    Tolka Park - Friday - 8:00PM

    taken from eircomloi.ie

first things first, according to the eL's own website, Cobh Ramblers play at home in Turner's Cross on saturday evening, while dundalk and wexford kicks off in under 10 minutes time

Anyway, on the field, can't see Cork City winning the Leeside derby on their current form, it has draw written all over it, but dont be surprised to see Ramblers sneak a win.

Derry City v Drogs is the other eye catching fixture, reckon Derry will win that

I prefer this thread to be honest. Your one is just a plain old League of Ireland thread. This ones a Mega-Fun League of Ireland thread. You lose Des.

I also endorse this product and/or service. We need more fun in the LOI.

Might make the drive down to Stab City © Getting to Limerick from here means a nice hour long traffic jam getting onto the Limerick road from Galway then another traffic jam through little brazil (Gort ;) ) Should at least get a draw off Limerick but I would be hoping for the win if we can cut out the nonsensical defensive errors of last week.

Limerick are no pushovers so i think you should be satisfied with a draw there. Won't be as daunting as coming up against Dundalk at Oriel though!!

Going seaside for some mega fun this weekend, a win and a clean sheet would be nice. Cobh and Derry to draw be nice too.

We play same system of 4 central defenders and 4 central midfielders.

    Clarke
    O Carroll Harris Partridge Paisley
    Ryan Fahey Lynch Kirby
    O neill Quigley

Bleedin' times all over the place on every website tbh.

The times at the top of this thread are from the OFFICIAL LoI/FAI website.

Another example of how the FAI treats the LoI. Why are the times wrong on the official website? It's a complete fúcking joke.

The whole organisation from the top down is an absolute circus, and the ring master is John Delaney.

She probably has dyed blonde hair, but you can see the dark roots. Large "basketball hoop" ear-rings. Chewing gum wrapped around her little finger.

Leave Trilla be. Let him have his fantasies. :)

Can Derry City finally get some points this week without waiting until after the 85th minute?

Dont get me wrong it's kind of fun going rangy with the late goals, but I wouldn't mind being able to relax a bit.

We all live at the randy Brandywell....

There might not be one on TV this week.

Looks like rte doesn't have a match this weekend.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,449 ✭✭✭Call Me Jimmy

Nasty! I thought this year we'd be getting one each week for some reason. Come to think of it I'm not sure where I got that idea... at least there's MNS I suppose. My only criticism of it is there seems to be an awful lot of talking with very skimpy highlights, maybe that's because there's **** all highlights in the games so far but I'de rather watch some build-up play than extra chatting.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,196 ✭✭✭BrianCalgary

I'll just be in the Derry City chatroom with the rest of our world wide support. Listening on the radio.

I'll tell you though, although it'd be nice to have a game of the week, what we get now is miles better than what it was last year and even two years ago.

Appreciate what rte is doing. :)

    No need for moans.

Dundalk will win tonight. I'm thinking 2 or 3-0. Wexford are giving a debut to their pink shirt tonight apparently. Thats 1-0 to Dundalk already.

Im hoping to head down to Cobh for Ramblers - City, this tense Cork Derby is enough to bring out this Villa loving fan to brave the elements of uptown Cobh, think i might avoid Nimmo's after!, no their Bolognese Chips are just too good!

Ramblers to humble the big names!

    lol

A local like that from Dundalk? If she is, she'll have six toes.

Fairly poor game last night. Dundalk should have been about 4-0 up at half time. Really took their foot off the pedal in the second half.
Bennion only made one decent save all night. Wexfords goal came from a goalmouth scramble after some very sloppy defending from a corner.

Wexford gave it a good shot but were a bit short on quality tbh. They are fairly naive at the back (Dundalks second goal came from defensive fcuk up) and don't pose much threat up front but kept battling away.

Thankfully there were no pink jerseys on show last night, and to the best of my knowledge no pink t-shirts in the crowd!!

Early stages but Dundalk look like they will finally get to the Premier after a few years in the wilderness.

Its only March, so i wouldn't start sucking each others dicks just yet..!
Last year we were thumping teams left right and centre in the first few weeks, then had a very poor mid-season. Would hope they learn from it this year. Although it is good to stretch a lead out and make the other contenders work for it early on..

Edit: Missed Cassidy in Midfield last night. Felt like Crowley and Sheils were too similar and not enough creativity. Much the same as last year when ever Shaun Williams was missing.

Its an absolute dive mate. Glad we don't have to go there for another month:D

There's only one tiny little terrace with a roof, but you'll probably have to pose as a Limerick fan to get in there.

Rest of the ground is just completely open.
