Try to keep it to 2-3 shots per post at most folks.

If posts aren't edited by later they are getting deleted completely. I'm tired and grumpy

It's a fast moving thread, some of the pics are excellent and if everyone who commented on them quoted them it would be endless repetition, the thread would become more difficult to keep up with and less people would post.

It's a thread and forum rule and is just the way things are done.

And I accept that. What I dont accept is another mod telling me its a bandwidth issue when clearly it isnt.

A Photography v4.0 thread should be started with the no quoting images being strictly adherred too.
In fact just photographs and maybe the OP's brief description should be allowed?

I'm sorry to seem harsh to the noobs but quoted pics, oversized and heavy multiple posting is getting deleted. Make it a bit nicer for everyone and keep to the rules eh?

Not a great photo but had to snatch at this, pair of Chavs made to get tickets for the Luas, if he wasn't wearing the Burberry Chavs trademark cap he probably wouldn't have being spotted.

No need to be sorry, rules are rules.

Anyways, we'll let this thread go on another few pages and start the new one, though it won't be a pictures only thread - I don't see the problem with people talking about photos.

That's where the report post feature comes in dead handy - I don't have the time to read through every post on the Random Photo thread, if you see a post that's breaking the rules, then go for the report!

You responded to a post from elven which was posted after i sent her a pm voicing my concerns about the uneven way threads seem to be moderated sometimes, and in particular this one. I was merely saying to you that of course rules have to be abided but that should be by everyone, across the board. In my conversation with elven I merely pointed out that this isnt the case. If youve spoken to her, or if shes forwarded the pms to you, you'll see what I mean. If not, im not getting into it here.

Well, if you want to make a point to the moderators, I'd advise you PM all of us, or bring it up in feedback if you feel we're not moderating properly.

The random photo thread can grow 3/4 pages in the space of 24 hours, it can be incredibly hard to keep up with everything that goes on in here, hence me asking you to use the "report post" button - It makes everyones life easier.

Was taking some photos at our stadium today, and caught this weird yellow/orange ball in the sky. It disappeared after a while, but it really was very strange looking.

Some people may be using laptops with lowish res.
Plus, if a screen was 1024, and so was the image, it would be off screen due to the thread info along the left taking up room, scrolling right is a pain in the hole
