    Stealth/Spy games

    Guards have the intelligence and the eyesight of a banana.

    Sticking to the darkness and hiding behind boxes is satisfactory cover.

    Secret Conversations that you have to listen into take place in the town square and at high volume.

    In RPG's you'll always have the choice to be good or evil, but apart from being a bit of fun, being evil has absolutely no benefits and in fact just makes life a hell of a lot harder for yourself.

    Heroes will never complain about back pain, no matter how much they carry.

    - In most FPS all mirrors will be either removed or broken or will be completely unreflective
    - Any reflective services will reflect everything except for your face and body
    - People will leave gun clips lying around everywhere

    - All FPS protagonists are right handed

    People in full body armour can easily be punched to death.

    Streets are usually blocked off both ends by railings or rubble.

    People mostly tell the truth.

    Fancy putting some items in that chest? Go right ahead, they will also be in the other chest that's ages away.

    Also, shooting someone/something a few more times after it has passed on will automatically cause it to explode into bloody chunks regardless, a la Quake 2!

    In order to survive getting shot, just don't get shot for a a while, sure all those bullet holes will just close up - (GoW)

    No matter if your enemies have guns/tanks/planes/explosives, the best weapon for you to use is a sword thats bigger than you - (FF7/FF8/FF10 to name a few....)

    An archer can take out a tank - (happened to a friend of mine in Civilisation)

    For no particular reason, enemy leaders can be completely immune to head shots, simply because they are important or something - (Metal Gear Solid games)

    It makes perfect sense that the guy with a chainsaw can kill you in one shot, but you can survive people attacking you with pitch forks,scythes,dynamite... - (Resi 4)

    Your live is made so much harder because you're stuck looking at yourself through stupid angles, instead of out your own eyes - (Resi 0-3)

    In most fps's you can see where you want to go and you could easily get there in real life without the key; hop a small fence, walk through a few bushes etc etc etc :)

    Rocket Propelled Grenades and other extremely powerful explosives, do NOT open all doors or windows.
