Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I always love these, nothing like a good corpse.

The death of the great Abby Mann is no laughing matter. :pac:

If you get the Today podcast like I do, I was presently surprised to hear a) Charlotte Green on it (newsreaders don't normally appear on the podcast) and b) the title "The Giggles". :)

Jim Naughtie and John Humphrys are known for sending a tearing comment about the headlines when the audio is cut, and Charlotte Green is most certainly a great corpser! :)

    From: Media Guardian
[Ed] Stourton later explained to listeners that Green had been put off after the previous news item, about the first recording of a human voice, singing Au Clair de la Lune.

Stourton said Green was distracted after an as yet unidentified Today staffer whispered in her ear that the quaint female singer sounded like a "bee buzzing in a bottle".

He and Naughtie both denied responsibility for the prank.

    I bet they did! :D

Ah yes.... the best ever... as it combines school-boy humour, a double entendre and an uncontrollable fit of the giggles. :)

I heard it live. It was almost surreal it was so good. A true classic.

Her voice is exquisite but her laugh is utterly infectious when she starts....:)
