My sister is moving home from the UK. She's bringing her car with her. My understanding is that if she can legitimately prove she is moving home, changing jobs etc, she can register her car here without paying VRT - as long as she does not sell the car within 6 months. Can anyone tell me how I find out the exact rules and what you have to do when you bring the car in etc?

i am moving back to Dublin from London after 11 years in the UK and would love some info from anyone else who has done this? Slightly daunting but excited all the same. Afraid I Dublin will pale in comparison to London?
