Eamon Keane flagged up an item in Waterford regarding attacks on taximen in the City, a few mins later he is talking to the local taxi rep who is maoning about the city council attitude towords his menbers vis a vis sufficent ranks etc.

The Bold Eamo wound the chat up sharpish and went to a break with his by now Pavlovian "more on that later in the programme" (does'nt he watch Dead Ringers?)

I trust his producer got an earful.

    Mike.

Mike do you spend a lot of your time banging your head against brick walls?

From reading your contributions on this forum you seem to dislike Newstalk, particularly Eamonn Keane, yet you seem to listen to it on a very regular basis. It's quite tedious.

Just turn it off if you dislike it so much.

You obviously have internet access wherever you are, why not find something else to listen to.

Hey its a free world (ahem) or are you telling me to get a life?

btw Eamon was the victim here, I felt for him.

what's the problem - the fact that they were expecting a piece on attacks and got one on ranks?

The novelty has worn off for me a bit with some Newstalk presenters. Researching topics doesn't seem to be their strongest point - and the sheer amount they pack into their shows isn't an excuse for that.

I'm still intrigued by the completely music free format of all-talk radio. It can't be an easy format to move to, particularly if you're used to spinning a few tunes in-between talking...
