All European SIMS are GSM. Every network in Europe works off the GSM standard. 2G (Original GSM), 2.5G (GPRS), 2.75G (EDGE) 3G (WCDMA), 3.5G (HSPDA) are all revisions of GSM standards. All newer SIMS are capable of all services if the network and phones supports it.
