Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is this a case for unfair dismissal?

    Hello,
I recently commenced employment 9 weeks ago for a company. Yesterday they told me that it wasn't working out and I was to be laid off. The thing is that when I joined i just recieved a letter with and offer of employment which i accepted. They never asked me to sign anything or gave me any conditions such as a probationary period and never gave me any warnings, verbal or written, throughout my employment. The thing i'm wondering is is there a probationary period set by statute or do I have grounds to complain?

    All help is much appreciated,

    T

no statutory probabtion period. You must be employed for 12 months before you can claim unfair dismissal. Take a look here
