Virtual hug to you too. I'm in a weird situation with the specifics of my break up, so my head is dealing with that too. I'm making no sense here.....it's the lack of food and sleep!

We've all been dumped at some stage. Don't worry, there's sooo many pretty ladies and sweet men that get dumped everyday. We can't ALL be wrong can we?!

    It's his loss

It's amazing how you adapt, isn't it.

I've just moved out to Oz for a year, on my own.

My job is one of those places where everyone goes home straight after work, there isn't a lot of socialising. I also do martial arts, and teach first aid.

In comparison to Ireland, these things don't have many social events attached to them.

BUT, I've gone from a stage whereby I would NEVER go to the cinema on my own in Ireland, to going probably once a week over here on my own.

Social taboo? Or social evolution? I'm not sure....but I do know a lot about movies now :p

I do that do.....you get to pick the time, the film and where to sit, but don't get to talk about the film on the way home.

Add me to the list of single ladies. Ah, well, i don't have to fight anyone for the duvet. :)

    I cherish my singledom :)
It is so satifying to own your time, you just don't realise how much of your energy a partner absorbs until it stops.
Rediscovering your life for you, and throwing away the problems that aren't yours....is so refreshing.
It is such a great social opportunity too. But it is so fleeting, stop feeling down about it, and get out there and work it peoples!

The only thing that worries me about being single, is that I don't have any desire to stop it right now.

I'm sort of single at the moment, well not really! My bf is away for 6 weeks and I'm at home with my parents :(

None of my close group of friends are single and I never realised how much they all do with their bfs. Now, they have been making an effort with me but I'm getting a snapshot of what it must be like to be single while all your friends are coupled up. I can understand how it's hard.

It is nice to know though that I can still be independent and enjoy my own company after living with me bf for a year. I've coped better than I thought I would.

Single and having the craic. I don't have to factor anyone but myself into any decisions. I love it.

Yeah sure it would be nice to have a cuddle every now and again but i've no interest in letting a man rent out space in my head at the minute.

Ive been single on and off for years. A few relationships in between lasting a few months but nothing to write home about.

Im 27 this year and starting to really **** it I have to say.
I do still have some single friends aswell thank god and we have decided to bite the bullet and go speed dating this week.

    Really hope it goes well!

They'd be lucky to have her :p

I read early in the thread someone counting 'rant about your relationship' as a couples thread...it was originally 'rant about your ex' made by myself  so it's for both singles and people in relationships
