Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

I recently bought something similar to this item from the US. It says "Network Compatibility: GSM 850, 1900". Will this work with Meteor? I bought a meteor sim and it says "No network". Its not the sim as it works with my current phone.

Is the phone unlocked properly or will it just not work here?

    Wiki is your friend.
GSM is a cellular network, which means that mobile phones connect to it by searching for cells in the immediate vicinity. GSM networks operate in four different frequency ranges. Most GSM networks operate in the 900 MHz or 1800 MHz bands. Some countries in the Americas (including Canada and the United States) use the 850 MHz and 1900 MHz bands because the 900 and 1800 MHz frequency bands were already allocated.

    So short answer: No.

sorry you got a North American Dual Band handset there... will only work for you if you go on holidays and use it there... our networks here are 900 and 1800...

ref: quad-band / tri + dual band europe / tri + dual band US? Whats the difference?
