Youtube slow as ****/Vids not loading at all

    Anyone know if anything is up or is it just my PC?? Youtube is failing to load videos for me :( . I am on the 6 Mb NTL package and Break.com is loading fine.

    Aye, youtube is slow here in D1. High latency aswell (>200ms above normal).

    High latency and disconnects for me yesterday...

    Not 100% sure it's NTL or my new router, but I have a feeling it's NTL.

    It's the 3mb (soon to be 6) line I have and I'm in D14

    youtube was slow on the chorus network yesterday too.

    i just think youtube might be having server issues :rolleyes:

    I've been having the same problem now for days. YouTube was pracitcally unusable last night :(

    I wonder if its NTLs fault though, since all other pages loaded fine.

    Crap again. No connection issues otherwise. On Eircom.

    It's an all too common server issue with them I think.

    yep. looks like its youtube. its sporadic. ive been trying to watch some vids for last few hours but it keeps going on/off.

    streaming works fine everywhere else. i reckon its youtube being overused or server issues.

    YouTube is mostly poor for me as well (on Digiweb Metro). I just start to play, hit pause, and come back later, while it downloads (it's too annoying to stop/start all the time).

    are they not the same thing?

    For what its worth, I tried to view the site on NTL, no joy, then switched to my Eircom router and it was fine....

    Thats weird.

    No Google Video and youtube are not the same. I wonder if it is just an NTL thing that youtube sucks, cause you would have thought that if it was a youtube problem there would be loads of commotion about it on the net.

    Try it through a VPN if you can and see if it makes a difference. At least then if it's working fine over the VPN you can probably put it down to the ISP throttling youtube and have a better case to go to them with when complaining.
