Louth Picture Game

    It's clear that many of the other counties have these "picture games" now, so I suppose Louth ought to be no different. So, here's a photo to get us going...

    It's a bit early for a clue, don't you think? :eek: In any case, Louth's a small county with little geographical spread. In any case, I'll wait another couple of posts before I give a clue. Giving clues too early tends to ruin these games. That said, leaving clues too late can have a rather stifling effect, as has been observed in the Meath Picture Game, which, by the way, I recommend you all visit. I'm sure I shall figure out the optimum post-clue frequency in time.

    Well, I don't know how well acquainted you are with Roche Castle or King John's Castle, but believe me when I say they look very different both to each other and to my picture! :) You're a few centuries out in terms of construction date too.

    Well, it's not far away from Louth at all, but something more specific would be better. :) There's a closer village nearby.

    I know what you're thinking of, bit again it's a very different type of building from a very different period. :)

    Clue: The building in my photo is in Mid-Louth.

    Looks a bit like the road to Termonfecin but the pic is very small. Probley not though thinking about it as i don't remember a thatched cottage....
