    Hi there,

Does anyone have any experience with childcare allowance from FAS?
I am trying to sort it out, but it seems very complicated to me (I'm not native Irish).
Can I drop my little one to friend of mine and claim FAS allowance?
Does she have to be registered in HSE as child minder?
    And what about TAX?

    regards, Sagit

She has to be notified to the County Childcare Committee. It is a very simple procedure for her. They support rather than inspect.

If she earns less that 15,000 from childmidning, she does not have to pay tax.
