Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A hazy, sunny and slightly convective day. Just had a brief shower, but rain drops were huge; the sky above remained blue overhead and the sun remained out!! Ground dry already in the refreshing and stiff wind. :)

Beautiful sunny clear blue skies in the city at the moment but wind has made it feel cold all day. Was cloudy this morning with a few spots of rain.

6.7c here and feeling very chilly.

I hate easterly winds in April,May,October and November. Outside these months, easterlies bring very interesting weather!

We had a small earthquake in the early hours. I didn't feel much but the noise of some unscrewed timber in my attic shaking around, no damage.
An earthquake shook a large area in the Midwest at 4:37 a.m. CT, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Seismologists say the epicenter of this magnitude 5.2 temblor was in southern Illinois, about 66 miles from Evansville, Ind.

As of right now, there are no reports of serious injuries or damage.

"It shook our house where it woke me up," David Behm of Philo, 10 miles south of Champaign, tells the Associated Press. "Windows were rattling, and you could hear it. The house was shaking inches. For people in central Illinois, this is a big deal. It's not like California."

Tremors were felt hundreds of miles away. We found reports from people who felt the quake in Kansas City, Chicago, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Madison, Wis., Des Moines and near Atlanta.

Rubblefiretruck Gary Patterson, a geologist at the University of Memphis, tells the Evansville Courier-Press that this is the first quake in that area since 1968. He explains why it was felt so far away: "Obviously, it depends on what the soil is where you're at, and what type of building you're in. A person jogging down the street in Kansas City didn't feel this, but a person in a 20-story building there would have felt it."

Today looks okay, currently around 17C with highs of 21C and mostly cloudy.

Poor enough weather here in south Dublin. From what I can tell of the radar, it looks a little bit like a convergence zone in an easterly. If it were 3 months earlier;)

Cool'n'cloudy here. Apart from a five minute rain shower yesterday evening it has been dry since Thursday's snow showers. This weather reminds me of the impending blizzard from the east in winter months! :D If only!
