    Light NE breeze. 9.9c currently.

    Rainfall 0.2mm today. The showers largely missed here again today. Had a sharp downpour of hail at work in Portlaoise today.

    High level cloud has moved in here now with low level ragged clouds scudding along - fairly disturbed looking sky!

    Moderate shower here in the last hour
    I met it just north of Arklow driving down from a much sunnier Dublin.

    I'm convinced I saw a funnel cloud swinging out of it too but can't be certain as it was almost dark

    Quite windy here now too in the wake of the still nearby shower.

    Grey and cold here today with north to north east wind. 9.4c but feels colder. Looks like that rain band will just clip the east in the next couple of hours. Potentially a miserable day!

    Nothing special about this May morning weatherwise ,a cool 5.1c and partly cloudy .

    But at 6.20 am , for the first time this year , and no more than a 100ft away ,finally , a cuckoo , now summer just around the corner for sure .:D
