    Ah I love my OH.

    Where do I start

He snuggles into me every night and tells me he loves me.
And kisses me goodbye every morning before he goes to work.

He is a great father, has loads of time for the kids.

He buys me flowers out of the blue.

He lets me lie-on, on a sunday, then brings me up tea and toast.:D

He is a great guy and we just "fit" together, I cant explain it but we are two peas in a pod. We think the same?!

And he is great in the sack... Jaysus, he would kill me if I left that out..:D

    A few more...

    He's a ride.
    He's a great dancer.
He takes care of himself appearance and body wise.

    Good call IB :)
    • He makes me laugh
    • He is loyal
    • When he thinks I'm not watching, he sings sweet out-of-tune songs to our kids
    • I love how he goes in for a cuddle or kiss despite the fact I feel like I look awful sometimes, but doesnt seem to bother him
    • He cooks for the family
    • In spite of the fact his cleaning fits bug me sometimes, the house looks pretty good when he does..

Yeah Irishbird, I agree. I couldn't find any fault with my guy either, after all these years! Rather focus on the positives.

Abigayle, I like that - Loyal, sums mine up too

After all these years and bearing 3 kids he still thinks I'm sexy and gorgeous (which I am!:p) and doesn't see the faults that women as expert at seeing in themselves

    Pigheads OH thinks Pighead is:
    Dreamily Dishy
    Incredibly-Intelligent
    Fantastically Funny
    Devastatingly Dashing.
But most of all she loves him for his magnificent usage of alliteration. She can't get enough of her big strong well hung man.

I don't agree with the man bashing IB, there have been plenty of threads where the OH have been praised and talked about with a lot of love. There is just one, very busy one at the moment!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 97 ✭✭sharkie2008

he always knows how to make me laugh no matter how bad I'm feeling,
if I'm upset he'll just give me a cuddle no matter how stupid the reason,
he's very thoughtful towards me and always looks after me, making me dinner,
every time i come home for the holidays he'll surprise me with a present,
he gets on with my family and friends,

He knows instantly if I'm not feeling myself

He cooks/orders me food all the time (I can't cook)

He mails/texts me first thing in the morning all day and always to say goodnight

He's fantastic in fulfilling my fantasy's and keeps up with my appetites

    He's a fantastic(dirty) lover :)

He holds door's open and is extremely mannerly with me as if he met me yesterday

He's spontaneously romantic all the time

He's spoons me in his sleep and wakes me up but I love it

He's so caring towards his daughter

He understands my love of shoe's and clothes

    He buys greats presents

He's extremely nice and charming to my friends/family/relations

He's sends me slushy romantic texts out of the blue like "I love you so much" or "I miss you " etc etc.

He works in a semi related industry to me so he'll understand exactly if I've had a bad
day in work and exactly what I'll be speaking about

He constantly makes me laugh and we have such a laugh at the weirdest oddest things

His cuddles are the best in the world

(this reply is so bleughhh hehe)

I just remember another one: -

He knows not to speak or ask me to make decisions first thing in the morning until i have had a least one cup of coffee (he makes great coffee even though he hates it himself)

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,196 ✭✭✭Crumble Froo

he's a best friend, and a really funny guy... he knows when i just need a cuddle, and is constantly thinking ahead, and doing nice little things for me... he gets up most mornings i have work, and waves me off from the window, which is just such a cute lil quirk, i think, sets me off on the day in a good mood. he loves me for all my weird lil quirks, and even when he doesnt quite understand what im talking about... he does his absolute best to encourage and accommodate me... everything from playing hurling with me on the beach, to keeping his eyes out for surfboards and wetsuits on teh cheap for me online, and taking time out to bring me shopping for em and stuff...

  • Registered Users Posts: 361 ✭✭litup

Has anyone else noticed how many of these replies include "he cooks for me" or "he brings me food"?

I thought the way to a man's heart was through his stomach, not a womans!

I fear we are being influenced too much by the brothers...

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,196 ✭✭✭Crumble Froo

if that's the case... maybe we should be influenced more...

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,900 ✭✭✭Quality

Wo... Looks like we got ourselves a militant feminist here...

Anyway: I'm not grateful because I can be myself around him - that should be a given. Or if he "lets" me do stuff - it's not a case of whether he "lets" me or not, I just do it...
But he's very funny (in a droll/dry way which I just love), very down-to-earth, very relaxed and calm - nothing fazes him, secure in himself so there's no macho bollix, he's not bothered with his image... kinda the strong, silent type - brooding which I find so sexeh (yes, a little moody at times but he never, ever gives out). And while he wouldn't be one for public displays of affection, he's the opposite when we're alone...

I love my OH and he is brilliant because:

    1) He is exactly the kind of man I was looking for for a very long time
    2) He shares so many interests with me, and he delights in my nerdiness, unlike everyone else I've ever been with, who I had to hide it from
    3) He makes me laugh so often, in the most unusual way.
    4) He gets on really well with my Mam, who I'm very close to
    5) He sticks to his guns and is a great judge of people. He sees the snake in the grass years before I do
    6) He gives me the best hugs, kisses and everything else in the world;)
7)The way we got together was the most romantic experience of my life, and he continues to be as romantic as anyone could ask from a man (he bought me roses last night for no reason at all, out of the blue)
    8) He has put up with every ounce of the crazy within, and never once said it was too much or gave out
    9) He has never once been disloyal or betrayed me in any way
    10) I could trust him around a naked Angelina Jolie

I'm gonna stop there because I could keep going. I am so lucky to have met him and I will always look after him like he looks after me.
