    Very important to get a HPI check done on any UK car you are interested in. You will need the vehicle's VIN and reg number for this. A HPI check will verify mileage, service history, MOT failures, outstanding finance and any insurance claims.

    Also have someone like the AA do a vehicle inspection. Money well spent imo.

    Just beware that there are still a good few flood damaged cars doing the rounds over in the UK. Avoid at all costs as they will break your heart and wallet.

    Assuming that the HPI, service history check, mechanical check, etc. that you do before you part with any money all come up trumps then consider the price.
    UK£10,950 = ~€14,000

    VRO estimate of OMSP: €29,291
    VRT: €8787

    total cost (excl. ferry / HPI / etc.): approx €23,000
