    Hey all,

I'm moving to a new house in Portlaoise in the next few days, I wanna get sky tv in, - is there any company in Laois that installs sky tv??
Also the house is hooked up with a phone line but we would preferbly get sky set up without using the phone line. Is this possibly??

    Cheers

    Just ring Sky's hotline

    http://www.sky.com/portal/site/ireland?CMP=KNC-ROISearch

They'll get a local agent to set it up. I don't have the phone line connected. The agent used it for 2 mins to set it up and then disconnected. I got the basic box. I think for better boxes like Plus and HD ya need phone line connected.

    Thats great, thanks.
Did it take them long to come out to your house and set it up?

Less than a week. They gave me an installation date when i was ordering. The local agent rang me at 9.30pm the day before to organize a time.

    Hey,
I used this crowd, they were pleasant enough, based in Portarlington but I assume they cover Portlaoise as well http://www.midlandstv.ie/c4.html
Once Sky sent out the card they installed Sky+ for me within the week. Am not sure, but I think if you ring Sky directly they will insist on you having a phoneline, because they want you to be able to order box office films etc (more money for them) but all you really need the phoneline for is to set up the service. As I dont have a phoneline, this guy set up the service at his place before installing it in mine.
