Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

SE K850 problems

    Work up this morning to find half of my pictures gone (over 100) and several games locked/unplayable on my k850

    Has anyone heard of anything like this happening before?

    Never heard of that with K850i,
    But poweroff your phone, take out the battery fro 10 seconds, put it back in, and poweron your phone. That might help.
    Are the photos visible through the Filemanager?

    nope they are completely gone.

    I did some digging and intitially there was a list of bugs with this phone, including file management corruption that affects media stored

    I would recommend going to the latest firmware, R1EA031 by flashing your phone using davinci
    Media Manager is a lot fast loading, and nice transisition effect when moving between photos

    Have never seen this but once in a while (maybe every 3-4 days) my K850 restarts itself for no particular reason. Besides from this its a great phone. Very solid feel and HSDPA is a great plus.

    Ok well then the next question is how do I do that - complete novice when it comes to do flashing phones, etc

    You might not have to reflash, but try updating the phone by going onto the SE website
    http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/products/updateservice/k850i?cc=ie&lc=en
    and follow the instructions, just backup your phone numbers onto the memory card.

    haven't experience that in my K850i so far. Still running smoothly so far.
