SN Margin

    Hi folks,

    Can anyone explain why my downstream SN margin varies so much. It goes from 16 to 6 and everything in between. My downstream line attenuation is steady at 48.

    It's more then likely noise on the line or interference by a device connected to the line. The obvious check would be to take everthing off the phoneline and connect directly to the main phone point in the house and check the SNR.
