Can see huge anvils to my east, Mothman and Arctictree, are these hitting you?

Love it when the weather is this exciting (and frustrating at the same time!!).

I can see them as well, just about a mile to my east. Gone very dark, should start lashing any second now...

Showers are side swiping me both west and east. No more lightning captured. Was going to take a trip out to Howth to see some sparks over the sea but no point now:(.

Light rain here currently, hopfully will become more interesting as the precip gets heavier.
Arctictree whats it like over there?

The radar images are a bit like early this morning though its not as cold, showers seem to be beefing up a bit as they hit the mountains.
Probably going to be the last of the precip for a while once they pass, frosty night in store I reckon.

Lashing rain/sleet here, temp dropping. (3.3c ATM). Wouldn't it be perfect if we got a snow covering and the temp plummeted as the skies cleared?!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,033 ✭✭✭Snowbie

Showing up as sleet atm over the mtns.

Very sleety here, small difference in elevation makes massive difference in sleet/snow, i'd say the mountains could get a nice covering just from this shower.

Caught these two flat irons glowing pink in the dusk while I was out at the shops...they correspond to the echo on the 8pm doppler directly E of Drogheda/NE of Howth.

Didn't so much as rain here all day...I'm not complaining but watching those towers build and then head off in the other direction was a bit of a let down, especially if they were making some fireworks...

Sleet shower here again , rr 4.2mm/hr. Current temp 2.3°C DP 0.9°C

    Nice knowing ya winter 08!

Again spot on, just north east of here. Could see the pinkish anvil through some lower altostratus clouds before obscured again but you captured another good snap.

Went for a walk to get a better view of this moving south.

Was quite a loud clap at 18:46 and then a more distant one about 10 minutes later. I was quite surprised not to hear more.

I stayed out watching the leading edge move south off shore.

Got hail briefly and then just rain, despite temperature down to 2C

Pics still in camera. I'll download and see what they're like.

Does that household have a member who posts here quite a bit?

    Hopefully nothing too serious.

Very quiet on this forum tonight.
