Recommend a diesel car 10 - 12 grand approx

Whats a decent diesel car to get, something around 2001 - 2004, the newer the better. The car will be kept for about 5 years minimum. Looking for a saloon sized car. Ill narrow it down a bit. I think the Rover 75 is a good enough car (with the BMW engine anyway), the high spec models are savage inside.
