Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Steven Seagal Movies

Actually watched a Steven Seagal movie on TV recently, it was so cheesy it was good. Seagal was going around with a pony tail, and 70's style smock, doing martial art moves on the bad guys. At one point there's a fight, he takes out a credit card, from which a knife flicks out, complete cheese. :D

In fairness, at least it's a collection of his better, Warner Brothers output (although calling it a "legacy" is a bit extreme :D ) and not his latter work for Sony Pictures Europe.
While The Glimmer Man & Fire Down Below are weak, Exit Wounds is almost a return of sorts to his earlier form of The Nico's, Under Siege's and Out For Justice's of this world.
The above are very much to be filed under "Guilty Pleasures", but Executive Decision is different. It's actually a very good, enjoyable old fashioned B movie, and the decent cast (Kurt Russell, Halle Berry, Joe Morton, John Leguizamo, Oliver Platt) appear to be aware of this and enjoy it immensely.

How to spot the crappy Sony ones, you ask? Generally:

    *Shot in Eastern Europe
*Feature a Washed up Hollywood legend / Mid European character actor / vaguely Familiar Asian action star as bad guy (Denis Hopper in Ticker, Harry Van Gorkum in The Foreigner, Chooi Kheng Beh in Out For a Kill)
*C List rapper / D List Urban Comedian as co-star (Kurupt in Half Past Dead, Treach in Today You Die, Eddie Griffin in Urban Justice)
*Not a single other recognisable face in the cast
*Oh...with the exception of the slightly lame Hollywood "and" at the end of the credits list : ...And Vinny Jones (Submerged) ...And Lance Henriksen (Pistol Whipped) ....And William Atherton (Into The Sun)

Occasionally there's a bizarre casting decision that makes it worth the price of a rental alone....: Steven Segal and...LUKE GOSS! (Mercenary for Justice) , Steven segal and...IMELDA STAUNTON ! (Shadow Man) but on the whole, There isn't much to recommend from the bould Steve outside the 8 movies in this box...Buy it for your Da, Uncle or slightly backwards mate, and borrow it when he's not looking. ;)

Best part of "Executive Descision" was that he died in the first 20 minutes!!:D:D

A bargain for a Steven Segal movie would be if they were paying you to collect them!
