We at DERI.ie are looking for an experienced software engineer/architect, with records of team leadership to lead a team of good scientific developers.

By scientific developers we mean ph.d candidates and master students which have way above "usual" programming and engineering skills but no experience in development of a larger project.

We look for someone who's experience and knowledge will naturally give him/her authority and respect of the team in effectively developing very interesting next generation web infrastructures (e.g. novel functionalities for search engines).

    So here is the tradeoff:

Pay can be pay 50 to 60 k/y according to the experience.. but you'll be working in an academic environment,
with young and bright scientists who are world class experts and visionaries in next generation internet technologies.
Also, it is not unlikely that some of our projects become Spin Off company and some of the equity be distributed among those who have contributed to the projects.

We put a lot of passion into it.. and a successful candidate will have plenty of it.

Successful candidate will have plenty of experience in advanced development Java, common frameworks, scripting languages, web and databae technologies, team, issues and code management systems.
Expect to be working with new technologies like Hadoop.

    Send CVs to g.tummarello a+ gmail.c0m
