Just wondering if anybody had the pleasure of doing their ECDL through Kilroy's college? Have you tried any of the other computer courses? Just looking for general feedback.

Kilkenny itself, has an extremely poor selection of part-time and evening courses, and I am not willing to travel so that's why Kilroy's College is jumping out at me. Their diplomas, are they worth the paper they're printed on?

    Anyone any feedback/suggestions?

I was wondering the same thing as I am thinking of signing up for one of their courses, their website makes it seem very good but I would like to hear from anyone who has done a course with them.

This might be a bit off topic, but the NUI Maynooth campus at St. Kieran's College might also be worth a look. They don't offer ECDL but I'm sure they can point you in the right direction or may have something else of interest.

When looking at courses check out recognition. A good guide is the National Framework of Qualifications, the NFQ, available via the National Qualifications Authority of Ireland at:

    http://www.qualificationsrecognition.ie/recognition/ir_edu_train/list.html

It's by no means an exhaustive list of all institutions but it will give you some idea as to what is what.

    Thanks for the reply :)

I found that Pitman link after posting this and it's probably the brightest outlook at the moment. I was looking at that off campus in Kieran's, and while they offer great courses at great prices, none of the interest me.

I will keep my eye out!
    Thanks again.
