Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Father and brothers support Liverpool. First match I saw was United vs Liverpool with them, and being the horrible child and c*nt of a brother that I am, I shouted for United. Best decision I ever made.

May as well do my brother's too seeing as he's on boards but not the soccer forum.

Family - Yes. Twas me that got him into the Toon.

Edit: would a fourth question - what year did you start supporting them? - not be a tad relevant? Many of my best friends are Man Utd supporters and most signed up around 93 (convenient timing I must say). One guy the same age as me claimed he was supporting them in 88 at the age of 4! Another used to support Liverpool because he was young and naive he says and they had a lot of Irish players back then. But they all claim to be somewhat family influenced.

Dad (who isn't a huge football fan) bought us some Liverpool kit when I was five / six and pointed out to me that some of the players at the time were Irish. It stuck.

Family didn't influence my decision, my dad's not in to football at all. Was watching the '94 cup winners cup final and just decided I'd support them, it kinda stuck after that. Suppose it helped that they did win that match.

Did my family influence me? Only in terms of me going a different direction. When I got interested in United I was young and easily led, but they were all Liverpool fans, and they took the piss out me supporting United, so my affections were strengthened. ;)

Well I'm doing a spreadsheet as people post documenting all the answers. I'll ask for the thread to be locked probably late Monday so that people who only come on at the weekend get a chance to post.

After that it just depends how busy work is next week.
