Standard VW Golf alloys

Trying to find out which alloys come as standard (factory fitted) on the Golf but not having much success with names or pics. I'm buying a 1.6 FSI without alloys and want to have the ones VW use as standard fitted on it. (The ones with VW on them)

Would appreciate if anyone could let me know what they are and any suggestions you might have on what looks best on a black Golf - also what size. I'm not a petrolhead :o but I want it to look good.

Fantastic site here http://www.golfmk5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66&page=14 with pics. I like the Khartoum and Samarkand alloys.

Brilliant, thanks. Never thought of looking on Carzone. Do you know where I'd find what they're called - I'm getting a brochure from a guy who fits them so I suppose they'll be in that. Thanks again.

The latest VW brochure would have pics of the wheels and their "marketing" names... The only ones I know for sure are the 18" GTI's - they're known as Detroits here. But you're unlikely to go fitting GTI wheels on a base-line Golf. Though I did see GTI-replica wheels for sale in my local VW dealers yesterday.

There are several other optional wheels in the brochure too if I remember.

Without hi-jacking your thread, can anybody tell me what alloys these are and if they come as standard on any of the Golfs? I'm looking into getting one and I've fallen in love with these.

The alloy wheels are different on 2004 to 2006 MkV Golf than those on the 2007 onwards model.

    2004 to 2006 OEM 16" Sportline:

Oh this is great info. Thanks. Really like the 16" Sportline ones - but not sure if the existing wheels are 15" or 16". 15" I'd imagine.

Baseline Golf had 15" steel rims afaik.

They look like aftermarket Audi RS6 replica rims.
