    Hi all,

Am new at this so hope im posting this in the correct forum. I am a singleton nearing 30 () this year. All but one of my friends are in rships, (im just out of one) and spend their wkends with their other halves.

I really want to improve my social life so need to meet new people etc....Have thot about doing speed dating (not sure id have the courage!) or tag rugby or something - any suggestions??

I have looked thro other posts but a lot of it is for Dublin so no good for me...

Any suggestions would be very warmly received!

Am in the very same boat as you. newish to Cork, Just out of a relationship etc. Got fed up of not going out, so I met up with a group of girls who are in the same position.

We all get on great, go for beers, cinema and shopping etc all in our middle to late 20s. Some have tried speed dating which was a complete no no. Are you male or female? We are gonna meet up soon enough so if you wanna join us please feel free and pm me. Its hard to get out there and meet people but when you do it feels great and you will have fun! The first step is just to get out there. I know its hard but even meeting one new person makes a huge difference. It gets the ball rolling. The Cork City forum have a beers meet up too, which I have to go along to sometime!

I was thinking of setting up a Cork version of the Ladies Lounge meet ups so if anyone is up for it please let me know.
