    News reported on breakingnews.ie

If this is what it appears to be we might be lucky

1 The person was arrested under the mental health act.

2 A very strong counter is that if the person had any other type of 'weapon' then she could have done real damage, i.e. a knife.

3 And above all, the most important point: No one was hurt.

These type of things are unfortunate and rare. But there is little we can do to stop them happening again. It will remain up to the IAA to speak up for us in any public forum. But we have a responsibility to do our part also. I suggest that we all never lend or sell any of your equipment to a non-airsofter.
    :)

The key phrase here is 'toy gun'. For all we know it could have been something bought in the pound shop (Or whatever it's euro equivalent is). Doesn't mention anything to do with airsoft.

Not worth wasting your time on to be honest.

    Locked.

There really isn't any need for the IAA to respond to this, it's reported as a toy gun, not an airsoft or "BB Gun" so doesn't apply to us.

If it were reported as an airsoft device then it would be important for them to reply.
