    hi,

i have an unlocked iphone, is it possible for me to go on o2 or vodafone bill and either get a broadband addon and use that for web browsing on the iphone or else get one of their mobile broadband modems and use the sim out of that?

    thanks,
    luke

    Yes.

You won't get the 3G or HSDPA speeds advertised though and will be limited to GPRS/EDGE. Make sure the data plan you get covers non-3G/HSDPA usage (3 have a plan which only covers 3G/HSDPA and GPRS/EDGE just will not work for example).

3 sim cards will not work on iPhone (3G network only)
Vodaphone do not have edge (2.5G) only GPRS (2G) or 3G
    O2 and meteor have edge
I use ordinary O2 sim with edge and pay €7.50 per month for 250mb data package (enough for e mail and basic surfing) but do use wifi at home a lot (ie. Not using mobile network)
