Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's quality kit ,but it seems a little dated.

Was starting to think along those lines. Wasn't really looking at the DVD player but more the surround system. Can't find anything matching avr-135 or TSS-500. Slowly puts credit card back in wallet.

    Cheers guys for quick replies.;)

This looks like a better bet for a nice 5.1 sound system. You'd have to get your own speakers though http://www.pixmania.com/ie/uk/542057/art/yamaha/rx-v461-audio-video-ampli.html

edit or this one with speakers http://www.pixmania.com/ie/uk/542127/art/yamaha/av-4101-home-cinema-syste.html

This one has dolby-ex 6.1, dts-es 6.1 and all the derivatives. It also has 2 x HDMI in so you can really go to town. Speakers inclusive. All for 300 incl delivery. I'm thinking of getting this myself!

If only it had the dts/dolby HD sound formats...

I have the 890. Few annoying bits about it. It only does image through hdmi and not sound which is retarded since I cant use the hdmi now. Also it wont output say a component signal over hdmi. I bought an Onkyo 605 and its so much better. Go with something like the Onkyo if you can get a good price on it

The onkyo is 600 euro and to benefit from using it ,you would want speakers that are really good aswell . So your talking at least 1,000 - 1200 in the end.

The sony comes with speakers and can be set up easily. All the video connections are only for video ,but almost all connections are catered for . Two optical ,coaxal ,loads of phono and component. 2xHDMI in and one out (video)
