    Hey,

I'm a 3rd physio student in UCD + I'll be heading to Sligo on placement for the month of June. Anyone know of student accommodation with decent summer rates? It's only myself and possibly one other so I won't need a house/apartment to myself.

    Cheers!

    I'd recommend

    clarion village http://www.thevillageclarion.ie/
    the grove http://www.thegroveclarion.ie/
    yeats village http://www.yeatsvillage.ie/

They are all run by Albanne http://www.albanne.ie/

Do clarion and the grove's broadband connection linked into the college as well?

Go to Clarion/The Grove - Eventhough it's all the one crowd that run Yeats Village/Clarion/The Grove (Albanne), the crowd in the office at Yeats Village (Albert) are total cnuts. The guy over at the Clarion/The Grove office is dead sound (New guy there a few months who replaced Shane)

Seriously, if yo go to Yeats you'll regret it should you ever even need to go to the Reception for ANYTHING

I recently did some work for a new company http://www.amigos.ie who are looking to help students find accommodation.

It's a new company so their housing stock and website content needs to built up, but give her a buzz, at least you'll be first in the queue if you have an inside track.

Amigos is a great idea. The lady who runs it doesn't have too much up yet, but keep coming back over summer and she'll have more.
Whatever about summer, it'll be great for students looking for accommodation next autumn for academic year begin.

Last time I was in Sligo (April) these still weren't ready to be rented - Are they available to rent for next term? Also, please tell me it's not going to be run by A*****e??

It is my understanding that the owner of the complex has put his own manager in place to run the complex and yes, they will be available for the 2008/2009 academic year.

Might pop up for a look at them - Anything to get away from A*****e tbh... they're charging 90euro/term for parking in Clarion/The Grove :(:mad:

-Edit- You've got the link to the place in your sig so you've obviously got some connection - So I take it that your 'understanding' is actually fact? How competitive is the pricing going to be compared to the other student accomodation, considering people would go to the other places by first choice since theyre so much closer to the IT?

What kind of rooms are in the place? Looks like to be single/single en-suite/twin (sharing) en-suite? Whereas the Grove has single ensuite/double ensuite - much more attractable accomodation? As everyone has their own privacy/bathroom?

Sorry John, was away on vacation.

Yes, I am the developer of the site so I do have a connection. The rates are covered on the site and I will be working this week on adding shots of the place but in the meantime you can check out what they look like at http://www.flickr.com/photos/milligan_place_sligo/.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks for getting back to me. Pitty about the sleeping arangment, apartment blocks look nice but not a hope in hell i'd share a room - I like to be able to sleep in peace! (and in a double room ensuite if possible!)
