Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They tried it on and got a reaction, but they will be back on this trail very soon. Mark my words. MS and EA have the hots for micro payments and its only time before they crowbar it into our games (just like in-game advertising).

    DeV.

    hurrah the system works

+2^10000000 for reduction in rock band!

i dont mind micro payments so much when the content is decent - for instance, if GTAIV is a 40 hour plus game and costs €60 - then buying DLC that adds another few hours on to the game wont be a problem for me :)

but weapons and horse ARMOUR FFS!! no dice.

I don't have any problems with companies offering any sort of DLC for single player games, even if it is as sh*t as horse armour. Its for a single player experience, so if someone wants to spend more money to pimp their ride, more power to them.

I've got a major problem with the idea of charging for weapons / armour in a multiplayer combat, which will give some people an unfair advantage in games that are meant to be balanced and skill-based. Glad to see EA have backed down...this time.

Yes you dont have to pay for them, but now you have to fill out a media survey for each one of the 5 weapons. Its still taking the piss.
