Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Prestige and difficulty are two different things. As it happens I would rather see LFC win the EPL than the CL simply because it's "our" trophy and it must be getting homesick ;)

I agree that the EPL is damn hard to win. It goes without saying that the CL is also hard to win.

My point is that to win the EPL you need to be able to grind out results week in, week out. You need to perform in the 6 or 10 tough games but also in the games against the middle rankers and no-hopers. Not easy and - thru gritted teeth - I will congratulate whoever wins it this year.

But you cannot deny that there are EPL games you can cruise through. Do Derby really need a full strength team to beat? Will WBA next year? Or Fulham? Are Reading and Birmingham really that tough? In contrast (cliche alert) all of the games in the CL are tough.

So winning the CL you need to have all (or most) of the qualities you need to win the EPL. But you also need something else - a bit of magic and unpredictability - to get through the knock-out phases. A team can be drab but efficient and win teh EPL (you know who I'm talking about) but efficiency alone won't win you the CL.

every single season, I would pick the Prem over the CL. Every time. The PL is the trophy i want United to win no matter what. the CL is a bonus imo. Wining the CL on its own would be of a little more consequence than winning the FA Cup on its own.
