    hello,

front of my gaff could do with a coat of paint.
Don't know much about this kinda stuff but surface is rough.
    Needs to be done white.

    Any advice ?
Use a long pile roller ?
    Sprayers worth a try ?

    thanks

I would advise against a sprayer, besides costing about 3 times as much at the end of the job the stuff can go everywhere.

Long bristled wide brush and a couple of wrist supports :D

    rough as in pebble dashing?
    rough as in brick?
    rough as in plaster?

    Mmm....I'm gonna say plaster.

As I say i'm a bit clueless bout this stuff but its a timber frame house if that helps

    use a roller
and a paint brush for the cuts

I painted around the window in a tan-ish colour last year using a roller and I found that the roughness made it hard to get full coverage.
Perhaps it won't be so bad given that I'm putting white on white and I won't need to be into the valleys as much.

thats a no on the sprayer then I take it

    thanks

Na mate unless you know how to spray I wouldnt use the roller youll probably have to roll twice.

Use a roller specifically made for masonary. Avoid a sprayer as was already said. it goes everywhere and you need a day with absolutley no wind. small specks of paint on neighbours windows and cars is a disaster
