    Hi Guys,

Looking for some advice, I have been asked by a colleague about setting up a .ie website for a medical clinic, basically what is needed is:

    1) Introduction to the clinic
    2) Directions
    3) Listing of all consultants, about 40

The layout & design of the website below would be very similar to what would be needed:

    http://www.hermitageclinic.ie/

Anyone have any advice as to how much this would cost to design, build and host on a yearly basis? Any reccomendations on companies who would be able to complete this project. Also required would be an e-mail address for each consultant which they could access via outlook, webmail & mobile device.

    Thanks a mill

Depending on where you go ... probably anywhere from €500 - €5000

Hosting for a year shouldn't set you back more than about 50 - 100€

There are a lot of freelance web designers on here so you could try posting on Adverts

Seems like your typical brouchure website. Your going to get quotes starting at about 2k+ from a lot of companies/experienced freelancers for the design/development. Thats the typical price, while others (myself included) range from 900-1k+ simply because we want to offer the same services that bit more affordable.

There are many of us on Boards like DJB & Forbairt who do this, and if you google your sure to find many more design companies.

Email setup - im not to sure what people use for webmail, Horde seems a popular choice. I tend to setup clients using Google Hosted which is basically the Gmail Interface for your company (using your companys domain) at no extra cost.

Hosting can be pricy in Ireland, but locating outside is usually cheaper. Domains (.ie) are pricy but Digiweb, Register365 & BlackNight are the cheapest (IIRC). I dont use Irish hosts but I assume they do packages with a domain and hosting.

There used be a restriction on the number of users with the apps ??? (I think it was up to 25 people??) not sure if that is still in place (after that you'll have to go premium at 50quid per user)

    To be specific: http://www.google.com/a/help/intl/en/admins/editions_spe.html :)

Not to sure about the limit. The Email application is very useful, and comes with Google Talk and Google Docs which is even handier!
