The Blue House in Ballinteer - gone?

    Just remembered the old youth centre place near the old Shell garage and Our Ladys National School in Ballinteer. Is the old Blue House still there?
    Who owns it, and are there any plans?
    Is it still a haunt with the local asbos?
    Anyone wanna shed some of their fond memories of the place?

    Haven't been back to that area in years...

    That place was levelled a good few years ago now. The shell garage itself is now derelict, boarded up and fenced off.

    Haven't heard that name in years!!!

    All sold off now to a developer who has evil plans for another block of flats :(

    I believe it was originally "an architect designed" house - which means flat roofs and butt ugly. Anyhow it was derelict when I was a kid in the late 70's. They tried to turn the place into a youth centre for a while later on but it did not seem to take off.
