    The clue was "its down the bottom and its hard"
    Since they keep saying so many people are really close im guessing all the guesses about a shoe might be along the right line.

    I was able to replicate the sound pretty close by rubbing a screwdriver along a cable tie, but that doesn't match the clue.

    They were jsut saying that they're allowing some way of texting in, since they only have 3 phone lines and can't take everyones calls. Not sure how it works, I think you text in your name and then they call you back or something.
