Wtf are you talking about there's no semi-permanent type inks that'll last that long.

Indian inks are generally the same ones used in dodgy scum dots on the knuckles type tattoos

    Wrong, wrong, wrong.
You get a tattoo done with indian ink, it's gonna stay there.

There is a ink that supposedly fades after a year but it doesn't work it can fade unevenly or not at all. Commit to the real thing anything else is just a gimmick.

    ^ This.

The ink that you can get that is supposed to fade DOES NOT fade properly, and you'd be left with a blotchy looking half-tattoo. You'd have to get it lasered to get rid of it properly, and that's a lot of pain and money.

Either get a henna one (Brown henna, if anyone offers to do it with "black henna" then they're someone that you should steer clear of!) or get the pic of the tattoo that you want, pin it up in your room, and see if you go off the design over time! If you don't, then chances are you won't go off it as a tattoo then either.

Or just repeatedly draw it on yourself with a marker!

There's a friend of mine who has actually been doing that for the past two years, it's pretty much the same "tattoo" she's just not sure about it.
Two years down the road, and she's still not sure. Sigh.
In fairness, she's getting pretty good at it.
    She's a nut-job, but she's my lovely nut-job :P

Indian ink is just a type of black ink. If you get it put into your skin it's permanant. Henna is painted ONTO your skin. You want a semi-permanant one, get yourself a permanant marker and draw it on! :p:D

A friend of mine was from India, she gave us Henna designs on our hands before she moved...
It only lasted a week or so..
    Was so lovely though!
