Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Great game, thought OH, Rooney and VDS were superb for man u, brown and scholes were poor. Anderson and Tevez when they came on really lifted the tempo and made it a much better game. Tough tough game, and i agree Clichy - top player.

I felt really bad today for Van Persie, I love him as a player as a dutch fan that is. He is clearly still injured and not fit, his legs were strapped up to the last.

    Btw

Arsene just admits season over in his sky interview.

    Good game.

Thought ronaldo was immense. pressure penalty, lehmann comes up and tries to put him off. tucks it away no problem only for him to be told he has to retake it :D

Even more pressure, lehmann gets a yellow card trying to do the same thing again, has to decide whether to stick with the same spot or change.

Tucks it away even closer to the corner :p

Also had the slyness to let hargreaves take the free kick, and lined up as usual, legs spread, big puffs... obviously had lehmann sold as he never bothered moving for hargreaves free kick.

Big win today, i expect them to beat Arsenal at home. Draw at blackburn, lose to Chelsea and i'd still expect Utd to win the title :)

It was fairly obvious from the get go Hargreaves was takig it.At no stage Ronaldo touch the ball, set it up or was in the right place for the run up.

TBH if he wasnt Utd's penalty taker ,they would'nt really have missed him today.

Ronaldo didn't have his best day but still covered a fair amount of ground and took that pressure penalty.

Great free kick from Hargreaves, was hoping he'd take it and always felt he'd at least come close.

Don't think Arsenal deserved to loose but thats football. Roll on Chelsea next week :D

I think the only attacker who played well today was Hleb. Also Ronaldo had one magical moment in the first half, when he chased a ball, magically flicked it over the Arsenal defender, and set Rooney up with an easy chance, but Rooney fluffed it.

Very entertaining game and it had the scares I expected! I thought United were really fortunate to make it to half-time with the scores level.

I think United deserved the win and I felt Anderson made a big difference in midfield when he came on.

Ronaldo didn't have the best of games but he showed he has some set of grapefruits to handle the pressure of tht penalty.

Overall I think this game was a big test for Utd and they came through it with flying colours. Now the pressure is firmly on Chelsea. They'll have to see off Wigan tomorrow who are fighting for league survival and then they have to face Everton away just 3 days later who are still fighting for fourth spot. Real test of their nerve and it wouldn't surprise me if they drop points in one of those games. The title seems to be edging ever nearer for Fergie. :)

    +1, good post.

If Chelsea win both games it does set it up so nicely for the match on the 26 th though. Whatever happens, it's a great season so far hopefully the last 4/5 matches will be as enteratining as the other 30odd.

I thought the win today was crucial because I really want to be able to go to Stamford bridge and lose, and still win.
That's extremely important, because of the Barca game.

    United's run-in looks like this:

    Blackburn Away
    Barca Away
    Chelsea Away
    Barca Home
    West Ham Home
    Wigan Away

Beating Blackburn will be a huge huge boost.

Chelsea have to beat a relegation threatened Wigan, but then most importantly, have to go to Everton.

Chelsea are in a really tough position, because they are gona have to rotate between the 2 Liverpool and United games, and I think they will favour the CL after todays results.

It really is amazing that both Chelsea and United are both in a decent enough position to do the double this year, this late in the season.

Well all i can say is fair play to Utd on getting the result, hope ye win the league now, and thats looking likely at this stage.

Very entertaining game but again frustrating as **** being an Arsenal fan to see them throwing away the lead once again, although everyone saw it coming. Its weird, against the small teams they go behind and then come back at the end to nick a win/draw, against the big teams its the opposite:rolleyes:

Clichy was absolutely awesome! He really is becoming my favourite player in an Arsenal shirt, he just keeps going no matter what. Hleb also played well and on the Utd front VDS and Hargreaves were excellent too

Comedy moment of the season - Anderson in the wall before Hargreaves took the free kick, jumping up and down and it looked like making faces at Lehmann.

    :D

Must be said, Clichy was AWESOME today.

Two of the best games of the season were this one and the Liverpool - Arsenal semi...and Clichy was the best player on the pitch in both games. He is such an outstanding fullback and model pro...he never has a bad game, leads by example, respected by everyone(fellow pros/fans)...Arsene should make him captain

Only that Utd have Evra I'd actually be jealous that Arsenal have him.
