hi guys, would be grateful if you can give me a hand:)

    Current Spec:
    19'' samsung
    AMD X2 6000+
    Gigabyte GA56S-S3 nforce560 mobo(single card slot)
    2G ram
PSU is a standard one 425W i guess forget the brand
    *GEFORCE 6200*

definitely getting a new card in summer, but i get so confused when i look at 8800 range:confused:
it will be last for awhile(10months at least?),run crysis at medium setting(or my 19'' wont do any difference?),well worth the money for me:)

any recommendation on nvidia/ATi card is welcomed.thanks

how much do you want to spend. I'd imagine either 9600gt(€135+) or 8800gt(€150+) 0r 8800gts(€190+) would do what you're looking for. depends on budget though.

budget is not a problem ,like i say i wish to get a suitable card, some card above 200 will be overkill i guess?

    better below 200 then :D

interested to get a 8800gt series, but have no idea which one is suitable

    You'll never notice a difference between a €170 8800gt and a €110 8800gs on a 19" monitor, those cards only come into life @ 22" or above..

This is a great deal imo, will play Crysis at medium detail and every other game at high, only €110 with 10 year warranty

The 3870 and the 9600 are far better than the gs .(15yoyos more)
If you really want your card to last wait till june and buy then.
Prices will be slashed and new cards will be out.

Where can you get a 3870 for €125?

9600gt may be €125 on some english/german sites but shipping is €30..

Benches from an overclocked card, Evga one can overclock high..

Had a search, all the ones for that price are on sites with €25 plus shipping..

    Care to share ;)

Ever wonder why ther gs is never posted in benchmarks with the 9600 and 3870's?

Oh you own all the cards then yeah?

Card had limited production and is €35 cheaper than a 9600gt/HD3870 ( delivered )

I gave you user bench of the card and it does compete, yet its in the same price range as 8600gts etc..

    :Dthanks guys!i like the €170 8800gt and a €110 8800gs on a 19" monitor theory ,that's the advice i am looking on boards!

i think the 8800GS version won my heart,no way i will be using 1600x1200 for gameplay:) or as soon as i can find a 9600 card below its standard price(150+):D

any more good suggestion or advice is welcomed tho.

and buying the card after june will be a good time yes?i'll just wait then

honestly for future protection get the 8800gt. IT WILL drop more in price between now and june.
how likely is it that you will upgrade your monitor??

think i will stick with 19'' for a long time,i would rather invest in a HDTV than pc monitor.

that's what in my mind too,8800gs is pretty old isnt it?say i wont change my 19'' for at least a year, what is my best option?

8800gs is a now card as its so cheap, in June 8800gt should be in that price range, they can be had for €150 now..

The 8800GT is a great, but noisy card - even at idle, so if silence is your thing you'd be better going with an 8800GTS which can be had for €199 before shipping.
