Hiking boots

Travelling around South America for the summer, and need a decent pair of light-weight, water-proof hiking boots. Anyone know where I can get a good value pair online? Also, I want to get a good value light-weight torch. Any ideas greatly appreciated!

If you want waterproof look for Goretex lined, not very cheap tho.
