I've noticed this on some threads. The thread says there is three pages (at the time of writing this post) and gives you the option to go to page three but there are only 30 posts. I have my option set to 20ppm this means there should only be two pages so there is no third page.

Here's what the thread shows for me.

I'm seeing the same behaviour in that thread and in one of the feedback threads[targetted by a moderator]. I wonder if it could be because of deleted posts?

It happens in the sigpo thread as well. There are threads with loads of deleted posts that this doesn't happen to (at least not from my end).

It's the Coventry feature in action usually, ie, the magical box that we put users in that means their posts disappear for everyone but themselves.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
