Hi, I had a quick look there, but I cudn't find a post directly linking to my query!

My girlfriend bought a 05 Focus a couple of months ago and everythin is great, but she wants to play her iPod through her CD player...I didn't think this would be a problem, but she went to a car shop and they said that she'd need to wire it up through the boot!!! Now, that sounds ridiculous to me, but I think it's something got to do with the fact that she'll be able to use the radio controls that are on her steering wheel! Anyway, basically is there any other way to do this?

I thought you could just get a lead plugged into the back of the stereo that would plug into the iPod and she could use the iPod to change the music (I think searching through the iPod from the steering wheel would be far too complicated!)

    Thanks,
    Jay

I have a 07 Focus and it is already pre-wired for AUX connection. All that's needs is a wiring kit from Ford which costs €27. Its contains one wiring loom and 3.5mm jack socket. The wiring loom fits into the back of the radio unit and you mount the jack skt anywhere you want. If your stereo unit has a AUX button on it then all you need is this part.

All you need then is a male-to-male 3.5mm jack plug which goes from the iPOD to the socket.

Thanks, I seen a thread previously mentioning the AUX button so I checked yesterday evening and it doesn't have one!

How exactly does the Dension work? Do you just select what you want to play through your iPod?
