    Ladies/Gents,

Does anyone know exactly what information a Garda supplies the 'Fixed Charge Processing Office' with after an individual has been caught for speeding. Obviously you hand over your licence if you have it with you and details are recorded into his/her notebook, however, I'm interested to find out if anyone knows, what's recorded and what's passed on to enable the distribution of a Fixed Charged Offence notice.

Would I be right in assuming that all of the following are input into the local Garda PC datbase and then forwarded to abovementioned office?

Name. Address. DOB. Licence Number. Licence Type (ie: Irish or Non-Irish)

Much obliged in advance for any info contributed.
