Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I loved Soul Blade, but I never had a Dreamcast for Soul Calibur. I played SC2 on the Gamecube, love that game. I hope SC's arrival on XBLA signals the coming of many more DC games. Instead of just signalling the arrival of SCIV...but I was gonna get that anyway!

    I bought a dreamcast on launch day meself!

    9/9/99 or something if memory serves correct!

    Soul Caliber came out not long after, I remember how the graphics were jaw-dropping at the time!

    I always preferred it to Tekken for some reason, the combos and the fluidity of the characters.....

    Ive had all them at some point, I just realised aswell that its soul caliber and not soul blade, even better!

    That was the american launch date, I think we had to wait until the 14th Oct or something like that. Soul Calibur came out in late november. I remember the hype around it as the DC version was one of the first games were a home console version was far superior to it's arcade conterpart. It was also one of the first titles (the third I think) that received 40/40 from Famitsu.

    Isn't there a limit on XBLA arcade games? I know it used to be 50megs, but I know it increased. Can they squeeze it in? I see this costing around 1200 points but it'd be worth it.

    Gone up to 150 MB afaik now.

    I bought a Dreamcast for this game, end of november 99. I remember plugging it into the TV for the first time, playing to try unlock every character. Then having to start over the following day because in my excitement I had forgotten to buy a VMU!!!:o Seriously, this is one of those "Great moments in (my) Gaming History"

    Thank you namco and MS!!:pac::pac::pac:

    Might have something to do with it being a vastly superior game.
